What is Festival Congress?
Festival Congress is the annual flagship event organised by the Association of Independent Festivals (AIF). It is the largest gathering of independent festival organisers in the UK.
Festival Congress is a unique B2B networking event with a progressive and innovative format including lightning talks, breakout workshops, high profile keynotes, fireside chats and experts and inspiring personalities from across the festival and events world. It is a place to meet with - and learn from - the festival industry.

Festival Congress 2024 returned to Bristol Beacon on 1st February 2024. The event sold out in advance with 352 industry delegates attending representing over 80 different UK music festivals and carnivals, and over 30 key festival suppliers. A full day of talks, networking and events made for an energising day.
Conversations flowed over to dinner and Evening Party outside at Lost Horizon, with performances inside from Toyah Delazy, TC & The Groove Family, Baila La Cumbia, Indian Man and Mash. The evening event was programmed by Continental Drifts with support from Arts Council England.
